"We regret to learn of the death of Mrs. Almeda Thomas of Verdella.  She died on Tuesday, and was buried on Wednesday.  We learn she was married in January last."

 

(Note:  Almeda Grace Smith, daughter of William Claire Smith and his wife Nancy J. Dolen, was born December 09, 1873, in Barton Co., and died June 07, 1892 (buried June 8, 1892, in Barton City Cemetery).  She married James Simpson Thomas on January 03, 1892, in the home of her parents.)
