Henry P. SCHALHORST
Newspaper Obituary, Liberal Enterprise, Liberal- Barton Co, MO; Friday,
September 18. 1896. NOTE:" Mr. Schmalhorst, an aged and respected citizen
of near Verdella, died at his home on last Saturday. Funeral services were
conducted at 2 o'clock, on the following day, by Rev. Marlow, after which the
remains were interred in the Barton City
Cemetery.

{Henry P. SCHMALHORST was born 15 Sep 1832 in Prussia. He married Sarah
Catharine LEONARD 25 Sep 1855 in Perry Co, MO. He was younger brother of Anna
Mary Elizabeth SCHMALHORST CONRAD of Barton Co. His wife Sarah Catharine was
older sister of Mathias P. LEONARD and niece of Rudolph B. CONRAD, both also of
Barton County.}
